Exit Signs for Hotels
Properly equipping your hotel with exit signs is the best way to ensure that your guests, visitors, and employees will be correctly informed in the event of an emergency. During critical moments, decisions need to be made fast, sometimes in a split second. Easily readable signage is crucial during such pinnacle moments—helps quickly point your guests and employees out of harm’s way.
We offer a variety of exit signs that are all guaranteed to be ADA-compliant—each customizable to match your décor. We also offer specific exit signs for more than 30 hotel brands. Check to see whether your brand is on the list, here:
- Emergency Exit signs: Mark which doors are available for public access, and which doors are only to be used in case of emergency. Emergency exit doors typically set off fire alarms—spare your hotel from guests accidentally summoning the fire department with properly marked emergency exits.
- Fire Exit signs: Proper signage is mandated for all fire exits and fire doors. By developing a well-coordinated plan that takes into account every window, door, hallway, stairway and fire escape in your building(s), you will be well prepared in case of emergencies with fire exit signs.
- Not An Exit/No Exit signs: Spare people from wasting time trying to open doors that just won’t budge with a not an exit/no exit sign. By clearly marking such doors, there will be a lower chance of people trying to exit via these doors.
- In Case of Fire signs: “In Case of Fire” signs are direct as you can get. Using easy-to-understand words and pictograms that are ADA-compliant, help guests understand to only use stairs and not the elevator in case of an emergency with properly mounted signs.
- Stair signs: Stairway identification signs deliver critical information in the event of an emergency to employees, guests, any persons in the building, and to emergency responders.
- Evacuation signs: Your evacuation route needs to be properly mounted on every hallway, and in each guest room. Send us a copy of your floor plans, and we’ll mark each exit area and pull alarm on your plans and then indicate the quickest and easiest exit route available. After you review and approve the plans, we will produce custom evacuation maps for your hotel.
- Area of Refuge signs: Area of Refuge signs identify places for people in need of rescue assistance to wait in an emergency. It is vital to mark interior and exterior area of refuge locations, so that both those in need of assistance and first responders know where to go.
If you reside in California, take note that particular exit signs are required by state building code:
"Exit Stair Down", "Exit Ramp Down", "Exit Stair Up", "Exit Ramp Up", "Exit Egress", "Exit Route", "To Exit", "Stairs/Exit Route", and "Stairs/No Exit".
