Anti-Trafficking Product Options
We produce every sign to order in our manufacturing facility, using high-performance materials engineered to withstand the rigorous cleaning protocols and high traffic demands of Louisiana’s hotels and resorts.
- Louisiana PVC Human Trafficking Notice: This 1/8-inch-thick PVC notice provides high-contrast messaging in a moisture-resistant format. It is a durable, cost-effective choice for employee breakrooms, back-of-house corridors, and laundry facilities.
- Louisiana Acrylic Advocacy Sign: A premium, non-porous acrylic notice that blends with upscale guest-facing interiors. It is specifically engineered to withstand frequent disinfection without clouding or cracking.
Louisiana Statutory Signage Requirements
Louisiana law is technically specific regarding the appearance of these notices. To remain audit-ready, our signs are configured with the following mandatory features.
- Trilingual Messaging: Includes the required text in English, Spanish, and Louisiana French.
- Required Resource Information: Displays the National Human Trafficking Resource Center (1-888-373-7888) and the "BeFree" (233733) shortcodes.
- Mandated Typography: Printed in bold type with a minimum of 14-point font as dictated by state law.
- Official 8.5" x 11" Format: Scaled to satisfy the state’s minimum size requirements for legal visibility.
Mandated Hotel Placement Locations
Under La. R.S. 15:541.1, your property must follow a specific posting strategy to avoid non-compliance. Louisiana requires notices in two distinct areas:
- Employee Notice Areas: Every hotel must post the information in the same location where other state and federal employee labor law notices are displayed (such as breakrooms or time-clock stations).
- Restroom Stall Interiors: State law (L.R.S. § 15:541.1(D)) requires that a notice be affixed to the inside of the door of each bathroom stall on the premises. This provides a private, unmonitored moment for a victim to access help.
- Public Lobbies: While the stall and employee postings are the primary legal requirements, conspicuous placement near primary entrances is a recognized best practice for Safe Haven properties.
