• Languages: Must be posted in English and Spanish. In certain counties (Alameda, Los Angeles, Orange, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara), a third language is also required.
• Size Guidance: No statutory minimum; state guidance recommends 8.5" x 11" or larger for visibility.
• Penalties: $500 first offense, $1,000 subsequent offenses. Effective 2025 under AB 379: $1,000 first violation, $2,000 subsequent violations.
