Wyoming ADA and Reserved Parking Signs

Ensuring accessible parking is a key component of hospitality and a strict legal mandate in Wyoming. According to Wyoming Statute § 31-5-501, all public and private properties must designate a specific percentage of parking spaces for individuals with disabilities.

A compliant Wyoming Reserved Parking Sign with ISA Symbol must be:

  • Constructed of durable material.
  • Clearly display the International Symbol of Accessibility (ISA).
  • Installed to designate the reserved space.

These signs are considered official, and it is unlawful for any person to park in a designated space without a proper handicapped license plate or transferable identification card.

The Required Wyoming Pool & Spa Rules Sign

Wyoming has specific health and safety regulations for public pools and spas. Under 010-6 Wyo. Code R. §§ 6-14, public pool and spa operators are required to post a sign at the entrance to the enclosure. This sign must be a minimum of 18 inches by 24 inches with lettering at least one-half inch in height.

The code is highly specific about what a compliant Wyoming Pool & Spa Rules Sign must say, including:

  • Rules prohibiting people with communicable diseases from using the pool.
  • A warning that all non-swimmers and children under eight years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • A prohibition against running or engaging in horseplay in or around the pool.
  • A warning for elderly persons and those with heart disease, diabetes, or high blood pressure to consult a physician before using a spa.
  • The emergency rescue number.

Did You Know?

In 2022, visitors to Wyoming's national parks spent over $870 million in the state, supporting more than 11,500 jobs. The lodging sector has the highest direct economic impact from this spending, underscoring the importance of safety and compliance for the state's economy.

Stay Compliant, Stay Safe

Navigating the complex world of state regulations is a vital part of running a successful hospitality business. By ensuring your property is equipped with the correct, legally mandated signs, you protect both your guests and your business, contributing to a safe and thriving tourism industry in the Cowboy State.
