Required Human Trafficking Sign for Georgia.
- It is required to post a notice in each public restroom and in another location that is in plain view in the following establishments: Adult entertainment establishments, bars, primary airports, passenger rail or light rail stations, bus stations, truck stops, emergency rooms within general acute care hospitals, urgent care centers, farm labor contractors and day haulers, privately operated job recruitment centers, safety rest areas located along interstate highways in this state, hotels, and businesses/establishments that offer massage or bodywork services by a person who is not a massage therapist.
- Sign must be posted by September 15, 2013. Offenses could result in a fine up to $5,000.
- The new law was passed during the 2013 session of the General Assembly and was signed into law as O.C.G.A. 16-5-47 on May 6, 2013.
- Main purpose is to enable persons who are subject to human trafficking to obtain help and services.
