Required Human Trafficking Sign for Georgia.
- Each hotel is required to post a notice in each public restroom and in another location that is in plain view.
- Sign must be posted by September 15, 2013. Offenses could result in a fine up to $5,000.
- The new law was passed during the 2013 session of the General Assembly and was signed into law as O.C.G.A. 16-5-47 on May 6, 2013.
- Main purpose is to enable persons who are subject to human trafficking to obtain help and services.
